Here at ACTI, we are at the forefront of all things skin, beauty and education. We want our students to learn from the best of the best – experts in their field.
When we first saw Gay Wardle present at Beauty Expo 2018 we were hooked. She was able to take complex ideas and concepts and turn them into easy to understand language. We knew that she was something special. Not only was she an expert in skin science and skin biology, she was able to captivate her audience and inspire a generation of beauty therapists.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Gay’s amazing work, she is a businesswoman, coach, mentor and an internationally recognised speaker and educator. In 2015, she was awarded “Educator of the Year” at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards. Gay’ passion is “skin analysis” and she drives this agenda both nationally and internationally. Through her dedication and commitment to learning and teaching others, Gay has established herself as one of the most respected icons in the illustrious “skin and beauty” industry. Her work as an educator and practitioner was celebrated in 2014 when she was inducted into both the ABIA Hall of Fame and the Reed Exhibition Hall of Fame.
When we were creating our 2019 course calendar, we knew that Gay had to be involved which is why ACTI is bringing her sell-out course “Everything You Need to Know About Skin” to Canberra in February!
We know that beauty professionals working with skin anatomy must remain on a relentless journey of lifelong learning to ensure that they continually equip themselves with the knowledge and skills that are required to deliver and perform current and cutting edge treatments. Gay Wardle’s workshops and courses are designed to provide the participant with this knowledge and these skills. Education is the key to confidence in treatment planning, delivery and success for the client!
Gay’s 2-day course will be held on 18th and 19th February at ACTI 26 Mort Street Braddon. It’s a jam-packed course that will give you the skills you need to work with the skin, rather than against it.

Day 2 Course Synopsis: Skin Disorders
An in-depth study of various skin disorders.
Our contemporary practices are seeing therapists deliver treatments that involve technology, equipment, a knowledge of actives and transdermal delivery systems. With the evolution of treatments that are being performed, it is critical that we possess a comprehensive understanding of the skin and skin disorders. It is essential that we understand skin at both the anatomical level and the cellular level in order to treat skin conditions successfully. This course will focus on the following skin disorders:
- Pigmentation
- Rosacea
- hyper-proliferative disorders
- Acne
- DNA & ROS Disorders
- Skin Barrier Disorders
The aim of this course is to ensure that participants develop an understanding of the skin’s cellular structure. This course will also support participants to develop the knowledge required to identify biological imbalances and nutritional deficiencies. Participants will also study how inflammation and toxicity contribute to allergies. The skills and knowledge obtained through this course will enable practitioners to treat clients by reflecting on every attribute that could be affecting their skin. This information will ultimately place practitioners in a powerful position in order to achieve optimal results for each individual client.
We only have a handful of spaces left for this course so don’t miss out! For information on how you can take your career to the next level, visit the How to Enrol tab on our website or email info@actitraining.com.au.
