At ACTI we are excited to introduce Australian School-Based Apprenticeships for our Diploma of Beauty Therapy. We want to get more Beauty Students into their dream jobs and working in this amazing industry! A brand new Government subsidy allows us to significantly reduce course costs so that it is a more affordable option for students wanting to start a career in beauty.

We currently have a large number of Canberra salons who are ready to work with the right candidate. We will help match you with your ideal employer to ensure you get the experience you need to succeed. With our apprenticeship program you will receive on the job training with your employer as well as extensive training at ACTI. You will get PAID to study your craft and be employed in the industry you are studying. ACTI also holds regular ‘meet and greet’ events where local employers are invited to meet our ACTI students for the purpose of

creating early connections (before the student graduates) which can help the students secure a position straight away.

Our Dermal Therapy program is designed to give therapists working in beauty therapy, skin or medispa clinics a deeper understanding into skin science, skin treatments and skin function. The course content is designed to provide therapists with the skills and knowledge required to effectively treat and manage various skin conditions at an epidermal, dermal and internal level. This is an advanced training program recommended for therapists with a basic understanding of skin function at a beauty therapy level. 

With this course you will learn:

• An introduction to skin science, cosmeceuticals, epidermal and dermal therapies
• An understanding of the various body systems and how they impact skin health and function
• The skills and knowledge required to analyse client skin conditions and provide advice within the beauty and dermal therapy fields.
• Ability to apply broad knowledge to skin treatments
• Skills to implement a holistic approach to skin health and skin treatment programs
